Between The Grout

Kindergarten taught me well
ABCs and all they spell
Afterwards, throughout school
I somewhat tarnished the 'Golden Rule'
Education, ironically
Maintained a firm hold of me
Beyond chalkboards and classroom seats
I learned of life via 'School of the Streets'
That, 'Golden Rule', I so forebode
Had evolved into, 'Rules of the Road'
Universities, with all that knowledge
Could never compete with 'Sidewalk College'
Detention, sentences, blackboard walls
Became defined in restroom stalls
Societies genius's, spelling it out
The world unfolded between the grout
In retrospect, as with forethought too
Be it College or, 'Hard Knock U.'
Crack a book, give it your all
Then find yourself a restroom stall.

"My Brother in the wind, Vince and I, during a break in the
ride, discussed restroom philosophers, hence, this piece.
Thanks for the title Vince."
